Prayer Breakfast

2016 Prayer Breakfast

The 2016 Law Enforcement Prayer Breakfast was held Friday morning, April 8th. Our speaker was Ret. Asst. LAPD Police Chief Robert L. Vernon. Chief Vernon served on the Department from 1954 through 1992. In those 38 years he worked all of the various entities of the Department, the last 10 years as a three star, Assistant Chief of Police and Director of Operations, commanding over ten thousand employees.

Since retiring, he founded and has been President of Pointman Leadership Institute presenting leadership training in over 60 countries and domestically to over 100 police agencies including: FBI Academy at Quantico, Virginia; Minnesota Police Chiefs Association; Illinois Police Chiefs Association; Wisconsin Police Chiefs Association and The California Department of Justice. His course “Leadership Strategies” is approved by California POST and several other state approval agencies.

He has also presented the seminar to many church and business groups and holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and is a graduate of the FBI National Executive Institute (1987). The understanding and perspective Bob now holds is a priceless discernment of the state of our nation and world in a way few have ever grasped it, especially from a spiritual perspective. Bob has feet firmly in Biblical mandate as well as the international stage of men, Kings, Presidents, and Premiers, as well as what and who God has set aside for His own in the roiling social agendas that are so radically changing our times. He brings an understanding to our L.E. community that is rare and valuable, and one that, baptized with the spiritual character and understanding he has, brought much to the table for us all to ponder, take note of and set store by as we encounter the immediate future.

NOTE: We regret that an MP3 version of Chief Vernon’s message is not available as we had hoped.
